Hi Smock, i am more familiar with water-based potions as i have oily skin, but since no one else is around i thought i'd take a shot and suggest lecithin, which is primarily an emulsifier so it seems it would serve the purpose. check out the info on it in the index. i'm sure others will weigh in later.

good luck!

What about rose hip seed oil, pomagrante oil and/or olive oil??? I've added those to sea kelp with some cleanser that I have and it's great! That is, if you use sea kelp you wouldn't need an emulsifer, it mixes good--Try it!

yes, for me it cleanses very well, takes makeup and mascara off and leaves your skin smoooooth...not tight but very clean and soft, no toner needed! Give it a try, you can use the surficant that comes with the sea kelp kit or use a bit of a favorite cleaner if you want some suds but really, you don't need it. You can add some actives in too if you want.

i have whipped in some jojoba oil into my seakelp and it mixes completely and nicly.

remember that if you mix these two with out surfactant it will need a preservative---i always mixed mine up in my hand daily to avoid that.

Smock, I think you're talking about an emulsifer like Cromollient which I don't know if they have on SA. I mix like 1 part to 8 parts oil and it goes on like oil and rinses off clean with water. I would give you a source where I go, but I'm not sure that's acceptable on this site as it is a commerce forum.
