Hi. After getting a reaction to Rosacea Control Serum I decided it was best to try and mix my own face lotion, one ingredient at a time. I decided to try using a Sea Kelp base, as my face seems to react to pretty much all oils except Emu, ruling out using something like the Canvas base. When my order arrived I started using one active at a time to try and pinpoint any possible reactions. The first was Sea Kelp, and unfortuantely it seems i am allergic to it, developing a slight red rash in the crease of my elbow. This leaves me with a problem as ruling out Sea kelp means I do not know what base to use for the rest of my actives, which include:

EGF
G. Tea with Caffeine
Liquorice
Horse Chestnut
Grape Seed
Centella Asiatica
Niacinamide

I also ordered Liquapar Optima for a preservative. How could i go about using these actives?

James

Being a scientist, I have no problem in saying "I don't know".

We at SAS don't have all the answers for all the people. Once you have a reaction to "all oils" and an allergy to sea kelp, SAS can't be of much use to you.

I strongly suggest you see a dermatologist and/or allergist for help.

The immune system is very complicated and nobody can claim to be able to answer all questions. But a good dermatologist and an allergist are in a better position to help.

Best wishes

Hannah
