Reply with quote | #1 | I am very fair and have bluish circles under my eyes. No bags or puffiness. The only thing that ever worked for me in the past was Andrea's Eye Q's 2in1 Renewal eye patch. They have discontinued this product and I have been searching for something else that works ever since. After reading the ingredients list from this product, I have come up with a list of a few actives I would like to try in a cream of my own. Canvas base cream + Vit K + Chrysin + horse chestnut Can I use the horse chestnut under the eye's? Are these ingredients OK to mix together in one cream? I also plan to use some Canvas base cream + palmitoyl pentapeptide in another cream to attempt to thicken the skin.
I would appreciate any advice or suggestions, I am new at this. I have tried SO many other eye creams that didn't work to lighten the circles under my eyes, so I want to try mixing something myself. Most recently, I tried Haloxyl and I don't think that helped either. Thanks.

Reply with quote | #2 | Do you have the ingredient information for those products? Do you have the old jars/cartons?

Reply with quote | #3 | I dont' have the containers from the other products. Maybe I could find ingredients lists online. I tried an evening primrose eye cream from Korres, Peter Thomas Roth Vitamin k eye cream, Hylexin. The hylexin was just a sample from Sephora so I may not have used it long enough. Also a Dr. Pattricia Wexler eye cream from Bath and body works. Those are the ones I can remember at the moment.

Reply with quote | #4 | I was really interested in the ingredient list of the product you say worked, not the others, and I can't find ingredient lists for Andrea's products anywhere.

Reply with quote | #6 | It could be that kojic acid and vitamin K helped you, but it is more likely that the color in the product worked as a concealer.
Assuming that the kojic acid helped, then I would suggest you try our skin brightening cream. You can add a hint of vitamin K to it. If this does not work, then you will know that it was the make up side of it that helped.

Reply with quote | #7 | Thanks, someone posted the ingredients list before I could get to it. They didn't really have a makeup component. They were little moon shaped eye masks that you wet with water, placed under the eye area and then removed. If you think it might have been the kojic acid I will definitely try that and add some vitamin k to it. I was so dissapointed when they took them off the market. The difference was immediate. Although I had to use them on a regular basis, but it was soooo worth it. I saw something in the ingredients called "horsetail" and was wondering if it was similar to horsechestnut. For now, I'll try kojic acid and vit. k. Thanks.

Reply with quote | #8 | Colors (like FD&C YELLOW NO. 5, FD&C BLUE NO. 2) are the key to make up. If your under-eye areas are a bit blueish, adding some pigment to whatever you apply will work as make-up, changing the color of the area.
I have nothing against make-up, especially when it comes to concealer.
We do sell horsetail extract if you are interested in adding some to a cream or serum.

Reply with quote | #9 | Ok, thanks. The eye patches did have a tint to them. Part of the patch was blue and part was yellow. When you took them off your face, I didn't think that they left anything behind (tint like a make up would). But maybe they did. I just really hope that I can duplicate their effectiveness at some point. I have not ordered the kojic acid and vitamin k but plan to very soon. Now I think I may add horsetail to the list as well. I definitely wear concealer every day, the circles under my eyes are so dark that I have to. The blue color definitely shows through my pale skin too much to not cover it up with concealer.
