Hi,

Since 1/1/09, I've been using LMC serum nightly, followed by a night cream...well, I'm happy to report that my melasma has faded quite a bit and my skin looks better overall.

However, I'd really like to lighten the melasma even more and I was thinking about adding arbutin to the LMC serum (since I'm pretty sure the LMC is really contributing to the lightening)....Hannah (or anyone else who might know)--are the ingredients in LMC compatible with arbutin?

Thanks!

Wendy

Probably. Test for solubility using a small portion before mixing the bulk of the serum with arbutin.

Why arbutin?

In any case, sunscreens are tricky to formulate, because the main objective is obtaining a certain SPF.  So any extra actives are there if the formulation allows.
