Hi, all.

I want to add white liquorice powder into my skin care. I think the best option for me right now, is to add the liquorice powder to my toner, since I use a toner or facial spray twice a day after cleansing.

I want to make a small amount to try out first. I am using 4 ounces of aloe vera juice and, since I love glycerin, I am going to dissolve the liquorice powder with a bit of glycerin, that way I get a bit of glycerin in it.

My question is: How much liquorice powder should I use to be efficacious with 4 ounces of aloe vera juice? I want to see if liquorice will help control some of the redness from rosacea. I don’t want to add it to a cream just yet.

The instructions for use with the liquorice powder is: One tube of liquorice works for 8 ounces of cream. Does this also apply to 8 ounces of liquid?

Thanks for your help!

If one tube is for 8 ounces then 1/2 tube for 4 ounces.  Can you try even less (like 1/4 tube to 2 ounces)?  That way if it does not work for you, you have not wasted too much.

I have not dissolved licorice so I cannot help you there.

Lee I am keen to know whether this worked for you? What quantities of liquorice to aloe and glycerin did you try?

Hi, Valby.

I have not made the toner yet. I have other toners that I am trying to use up before I make mine up; well, that's the plan anyway. I will definately post my results!

I just recently discovered that my pink cheeks are rosacea.
I'm curious to know if you have made this liquorice toner yet??

Christin, your avatar is pretty.  I smiled when I saw it because sometimes I say I have red cheeks to match my blood shot eyes (ha ha, not exactly funny but kind of ).

Anyway, you have pink eyes that match your pink cheeks.
