The only ingredients that matter here are the water (in the aloe vera juice), the ascorbic acid. The ferulic acid and the Vitamin E are there to slow down oxidation of the ascorbic acid. The preservative is there to prevent bacterial and mold growth. The rest of the list is for "label value".

This formulation is not stable, I have no idea why they say it is. But it is not a bad product.

A Vitamin C serum made with ascorbic acid is OK for young people fighting acne, but it may be too much if used every day by a person aged 40+. Why? Too much exfoliation will dry the skin and weakening the skin barrier, especially when at night you use a Vitamin A cream, which really matters.

Do I really need to use Vitamin C serum?

Not really. Vitamin C is necessary to make collagen, but our collagen serum already contains vitamin C, so there is no point unless you want exfoliation. And you are already getting skin renewal from Vitamin A.
