Jess, I agree; It is wonderful  It is the first serum I apply, and I build from that point onward.  Sometimes, I use DMAE, Anti Aging Cream, and then the Firming Collagen Cream, and depending on weather conditions, I may use the Dream Cream and top it with sunscreen.

There are no good answers for how long products should stay in the skin because you would have to do the experiment, and it is one of those experiments that nobody will do: too many variables. But take advantage of the shower to apply water based products, hydrophilic ingredients will penetrate better.

Dr. Hannah,
I always use water or Avene Thermal Water before applying a serum; I hope that's ok.

Water is fine but not as effective as a shower.

Eau Thermale Avène Thermal Spring Water

Water + nitrogen?

This is too crazy to be true!

I will try to find more. These days, it is almost impossible to find an ingredient list.

Guess what? This product does not need preservatives. It is just water! What a con! About 80% of air is nitrogen, so by leaving a glass of water it will be in equilibrium with 80% nitrogen.

Thank you, and you are so wise and great at research and finding 'cons.'

Yes, it is terrible, but I learned many years ago about the cosmetics' industry, and the hard way:  being gullible with sales reps at NM or BG and spending my hard-earned money on nada. I did this over the phone, so it was even easier for me to be 'duped.' I nearly wrote a 'Buyer's Beware' Guide; I was so very angry, but then I realized I allowed myself to be fooled, so it was on me.

It is on all of us. I was talking to a couple of friends and they mentions a product sold on TV, Plexaderm. Could it be true that it makes wrinkles and under eye bags go in 5 minutes?

And it is not possible. You need changes in the biochemistry and physiology of the skin to get changes, and those don't happens fast enough for a visible change to happen in 5 minutes. Plus, you can't find anywhere an ingredient list. It is a scam.

But we are made to believe in miracles, even after we experience hundreds of times that feeling of being taken for a fool. It takes a lot of thinking to say "no" to miracles in the shape of cosmetics.

Yes, yes, I see those commercials on television, too, and I don't even give them a glance; I know better, and so do my finances; even the Cindy Crawford infomercials get people going, but I have always thought to myself-----if the melon stays nice and supple, why are they extracting ingredients from the melon to put in products, it would make more sense ( at least to me) to examine the soil and water content of the region in France to see WHY the melon remains so lovely and doesn't age: there must be something in the water/salt/and earth.  And her dear doctor must have had excellent plastic surgery, because he looks 20 years younger now than  he did 10 years ago.
Another gimmick is Dr. Ormond from The Doctors; when he began to sell his products on infomercials, I sent him an e-mail to inquire what products he sells to his actual patients in office--------------HAH-------quite a different list and price; was I surprised, NO!
