So I'm 40, but don't seem to have any effects of aging on my hair yet. However, I do have long blond highlighted hair - very long, below the waist. My main concern is breakage, dryness, and flyaways in this California sun.
I've used Kerastase for years, but after learning more about ingredients, I realized there really isn't anything fabulous in that $45 bottle - just a lot of silicone so it feels nice.
So after being very pleased with Skinactives - recommended to me by my Facebook pal Hottie McNaughtie - I decided to try the hair products.
I have the new shampoo, conditioner, hair serum, sea kelp and some ELS. In general I wash my hair once or twice a week and never blow dry it.
I'm thinking my new hair care regimen should be the shampoo and conditioner once or twice a week. I should use the hair care serum on the scalp every night with a little ELS, and style with the sea kelp. It seems like a lot of people here in the forum have good success with sea kelp applied after washing to the lengths and ends as a leave in conditioner.
I expect that it will take 6-12 weeks to see any results, but I'm hopeful. SAS has certainly delivered on the skincare side, so I'm thinking I'll have similar luck once I figure out a good hair care combo!
Looking forward to the detangler as well! It's very difficult to find an effective detangler.
