We are still experimenting with the lip kit. When adding an oil, or active to the liquid crystals use a little at a time, don't put so much in that the mixture thins too much.

We will have more suggestions on this as we try different recipes for ourselves. in the meantime please post your feedback and tips.

Just tried the liquid crystals with Buffalo Wild Wings' Blazin Hot sauce. After a couple of minutes you can feel a very strong tingle that lasts for at least thirty minutes. Its a very interesting effect and I know that people love their lip salves to tingle.

Try cinnamon leaf oil to lip kit or (as I DO) use the lip first then add the cinnamon leaf oil to any lip gloss, really works well

just a little caveat to you guys using those ingredients for your lips...i used lip venom for a little while and ended up with some sore, flaky lips after awhile...something about those ingredients causing that inflammation to achieve a look of fullness really did a number on them...that was my experience, something to watch for

I just received the new improved lip kit with the syringe, large jar(50cc) and dispensing tubes. What an improvement over the jars. The syringes work great and I feel like I can get all of my liquid crystal in with easy. I appreciate the improvement and being able to get the dispensing tubes for making up extra tubes for my purse and to give as gifts.  The new clear label on the canvas cream as a nice improvement as well.  Many thanks ...

I've heard that anecdotally from a few people, vanyel5 -- Lip Venom in particular. I haven't messed around with making my own yet -- soon!!! -- but I prefer plumpers that don't burn. We have a whole table of lip plumpers on display right now -- some work by irritation, some work over time to gradual increase lip fullness -- do those work? I'm on the fence.... I guess if you do plump your lips alot using irritation, make sure to really treat and hydrate them at night.

My favorite plumper is Lip Fusion:

Polybutene, Mineral Oil, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Silica Silylate, Triisostearyl Citrate, Mica, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Flavor, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate, Atelocollagen (fish source), Butylene Glycol, Sodium Saccharin, Titanium Dioxide, Propylparaben, Isopropylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Butylparaben.

I got the Lip Fusion XL:

Polybutene, Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Silica Silyate, Triisostearoyl Citrate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Flavor (Aroma), Silica Dimethyl Silyate, Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate, Atelocollagen, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Saccharin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hexylene Glycol, Menthoxypropanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Propylparaben, Isopropylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Butylparaben.

Don't like it as much -- it burns a bit.

I purchased the lip kit two months ago and have been using it every day.  Please post what benefits/changes you have had using this kit.  I bought the kit where you mix everything yourself and I think I may not be doing the right thing to obtain noticeable results.  Any help you could give would really be appreciated.  Thanks!

These are the ingredients I find work as a lip plumper:

ALA, DMAE, Niacinamide, Hesperidin, a pinch of dermagen or matrixyl.

I mix them all into a basic not too waxy lip balm (start slow, adding if you can tolerate ) and use the
Liquid Crystals on top of that as a top coat. I add a pinch of lipstick into the Liquid Crystal tube for color.

Thanks Donna!
I have those actives and will add them to my liquid crystals.
I will let you know how it works.
Do you add more of the DMAE or ALA?
For my face I usually do a 2:1 of these.
Please let me know your ratios.
Thanks!

Honestly, I work with actives the same way I make tomato sauce-a pinch of this, a little more of that, etc. But I am going to start writing stuff down because I never remember whats in my favorite recipes (except for EGF mix). Your ratio sounds right because too much ALA stings, but on the other hand it helps the plumping. Mix well because some of the DMAE grains don't melt until you rub the balm on your lips. I like putting the liquid crystal alone as a top coat because I think the Hesperidin would make it pastey.
