You need to remove the 'stopper' on the tube (the white bit), then you fill the syringe with the mixture and just fill the tube. Don't overfill. Then put the stopper back in and voila!
I believe you can add a little bit of lipstick or lip gloss to the mixture to change the color - Donna mentioned that she does that.

Hi Kathy,
Did you get your lip loss into the tube?  I takes practice that's for sure.  How is it working for you?
Why did you decide to add Naicinamide?  How is that working on your lips?  Have you noticed anything good/bad?
Let us know.

Hi Angela, I got most of the crystals into the tube, but wasted a lot of it...

My daughter wants me to make some for her.  I think this time I'll try something smaller to mix in - like a shot glass???

I understand that it would be easy to just suck up the crystals with the syringe, but it's not so easy to mix it in a seperate jar, then suck it up again.

I got the idea for using Niaminacide from the details under the listing for the crystals.  It says :  Option 3: Make a better Freeze 24/7 lip plumper: mix in niacinamide and GABA.

I didn't use the GABA, because I'm not too sure about it in general after hearing some of the comments in the forums.

It makes my lips softer.  I don't care so much about the plumping.  I would love to try Coconut Endosperm in it, but I'm afraid it won't mix.  I might try a little when I make some for my daughter.  I've just been putting it off because it's so messy.

Hi, Kathy!
I have several syringes of different sizes.  It might be easier to suck up the lip mixture into a syringe with a slightly larger hole and then pull out the stopper of the small syringe and fill the small one, put the stopper back in, and then empty the small syringe into the tube.
This is a suggestion, as I just ordered Lip Rainbow, and want to take a little out and add ALA and DMAE to it.  It still takes practice, I am sure, but that might make it a bit easier.  Just a thought.

Hi, Angela!
I ordered a Lip Rainbow tube, ALA, DMAE, and hesperidin.  How small of portions/pinches should I try on this?  I don't want to ruin a tube.  Or would you suggest putting pinches in a balm like Blistex and vaseline mixed together?
I read where you wrote that ALA will sting a bit, so I don't want to go overboard.

I'd like to try this before getting a jar of liquid crystal, to see if I like it or not.
Thanks!
Jordan

Whoops!  Just read that the Lip Rainbow has ALA in it.  Adding more would be a bad thing!  Does the hesperidin add much color?  I ask as I have pink lips that look fine with clear gloss, but they are thin.  Thanks.

Adding more alpha lipoic acid would not be a bad thing. ALA is an antioxidant and is also required for respiration, so I would expect that it will do different things at different concentrations.

Oooh!  I just got my actives today!  I just put on my Lip Rainbow, so I'm glad you let me know.
It's amazing what other properties these actives and anti-oxidants have for our bodies!
I was wondering if there are instructions for the "Lip Kit", since you no longer sell them;  I was wondering if it is something I can replicate myself.
One question, I have a lot of ground flax seed...about a pound, and I am looking forward to making the gel.  Do you sell glycerin?
Thanks so much for your help!

Hi Jordan,
I got my glycerine at the drug store but I am sure there are a bazillion places that sell it online.
Good luck formulating and let us know how it goes!

Oh, cool!  I thought I might need to go to a health food store.  Have you ever found copper peptides at a health goods store?  It's terribly expensive online ($30+/oz.)  to mix with Chrysin and Seakelp for my thin hair next month, and I'm not rich.  HEE!
I got my ALA, DMAE, Hesperidine and Lip Rainbow last night.  I mixed the three actives into the Lip Rainbow, a tiny balm jar with vaseline, and with a jar of Blistex Lip Medex.  It feels great and I can already see some results!
What does the DMAE do for the lips?

I also got some more EyeLiss to put it directly on my eyes as you suggested, and boy can I see the difference that makes!
Luckily, here in L.A. we have a 99 Cents Store and they have simple things like "base" creams (8 oz. jars) and ginseng.  I'll also look for little "tools"...I have very small funnels.  I cut the end off the bubble end of a pipette - the tiny funnel fit over the bubble, and cut off the tiny end...it's great for adding ALA, etc. to tubes of gloss.
Thanks for your great advice!

Well, aren't you the clever one!  I was trying to take a little of the crystals out, mix it in a jar and put it back in.

Is it hard to mix the actives up that way though?

I've been using the liquid crystals at night as a conditioner.  But, this weekend, I've been putting it on frequently and I do see that my lips are fuller, which is probably why they seem softer.

My lips are soooo light pink they're almost transparent and blend in with my skin.  I'm wondering if the hesperidin would help???  But I still kind of have to use a lip liner or I have no top lip

I was actually thinking about buying some MAC pigment to add to the crystals?
