I have heard of such great results with Retin-A users. After doing much research on it, I know I can't use it because of rosacea and all the numerous broken capillaries on my face. I don't want to create more than normally develop. I also don't want to use any OTC retinol product on my face for similar reasons.

Is there something that gives the anti-aging like Retin-A but without the side effects of broken capillaries?

Thanks!

I have begun using a DIY cream using Retinyl Acetate and have found it to be extraordinarily gentle to my skin. The deeper lines in my face seem to respond to this cream.

I have used Retin A in the past and it stripped my skin, making it red and flaky, even when I used it just once a week.

However, I do not have Rosacea so you may be best served by waiting for Hannah's response to this suggestion.

Here is the link to the product:  http://www.skinactives.com/product/detail.aspx?prodID=86

Hello, Beeks!

You are always so kind to respond to my questions

With your DIY cream, did you add the Retinyl Acetate to 4 ounces of cream? Are you using the Retinyl Acetate at the 2% level?

Yes, 4 oz of Canvas per 2.4 grams Retinyl Acetate seems to be critical mass. I think more would overwhelm the base cream. There is a light textured grit that dissolves into the skin making it pleasant to use.
