Hello all: I want to report my results so far with Hyaluronic Acid and Sea Kelp Bioferment:
I started using Hyaluronic Acid (HA) mixed with water and Emu oil on Feb. 13th, so I am certain now that my skin is benefiting from it (I started using plain Emu Oil a few weeks before that so I already knew it was good for my skin). I added Sea Kelp Bioferment to my routine 12 days later, on Feb. 25th. So far my skin has benefited from that as well. The fact that none of these have caused ANY irritation is quite impressive since I have generally been intolerant to topicals in the past. Here was my baseline on Feb. 13th before I started: My rosacea skin was doing quite well due to a series of laser treatments. I was still having some dryness, but much less redness and no real breakouts. So, in the mild stage. At this point it's a matter of how much I can do before my rosacea is triggered....How far can I push my triggers.....The more I can push them, the more I can enjoy my life. What I've seen so far with my new routine is an improvement in overall dryness (no dryness at all now-doesn't even feel dry), an even further reduction in pinkness, "tougher" skin, and the ability to push my triggers more. It's very, very smooth looking, too. I think it got a bit "thicker" or "plumper", and that covers the pinkness and protects it somehow. Perhaps the vessels are benefiting somehow as well. Since it is still early on, I am hoping my skin continues this trend toward normal (knock on wood)! Here is what I do right now (along with IPL with Lumenis One as necessary): Mix approx equal amounts sea kelp bioferment, Emu oil, HA, and water, and apply a thin layer as a mask at night. I have this mixture in a small jar in the fridge, so it even goes on cool I still wash with my Toleraine Dermo Cleanser at night, and I wash with sea kelp bioferment by itself in the morning. I apply the Zinc Oxide Cream recipe I posted here in the "Rosacea Resources" section for day use. Lately I've been adding more HA and water to it because I need less oil. It's less shiny, too. BTW I have used Zinc in the past, so I was sure I was fine with it already. So, all I can say is WOW! WONDERFUL! FANTASTIC! I'm extremely happy with my run of good luck lately. Getting the IPL done and finding this site have improved my quality of life beyond measure. Yet, I'm just getting started here. There are other actives to try, and further triggers to defeat! I will go very slowly with test spots. I'm not in a big hurry since I'm doing so well already Thanks to all!

Note I have since reduced the concentration to 1/8 teaspoon licorice mixed into two tablespoons of my base. This is still working very well for me. -Artist
On March 9th I added this to my routine:
1 fat Tablespoon Noritate cream
a scant 1/8 teaspoon of liquorice powder (white)
I used it on the left side of my face for a full week. I noticed a few times that, when I ate a trigger food, that side of my face remained calm - not even a tingle, whereas the other side tingled a bit and became slightly sensitive for a short time. (My rosacea is very well under control now, so the reactions are very subtle). So, I determined the liquorice must be helping and I am using it on both sides of the face now.
